Dr. Matt Patterson

Upon completion of his undergraduate studies (B.A., English Literature) at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Patterson began his dental training at Temple University´s School of Dentistry. It was during his first year at Temple that he and Dr. Votilla met and became fast friends.

After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1985, he served for three years in the United States Navy, at NAS Pensacola, Florida. His experiences were many and his further education rigorous. His patients included the elite Blue Angels flight demonstration team, among others, and Dr. Patterson served aboard the historic aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Lexington. While on shore, he was selected to advance his training in Periodontics, Prosthodontics and Oral Surgery.

Dr. Patterson and his family returned to Lancaster in 1988 to enter private practice. With an unswerving commitment to remaining at the leading edge of his profession, Dr. Patterson has aggressively pursued continuing education and training, both for himself and his staff. He returns on a regular basis to the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institiute (www.Pankey.org) to further his training.

Dr. Patterson´s areas of special interest include Preventive Dentistry, Dental Implantology and Dental Aesthetics. He also maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Oral Medicine, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Lancaster County Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Lancaster Chapter of the Seattle Study Club.

Both Dr. Patterson and his wife, the former Sarah Breneman, are native Lancastrians. They share interests in music, athletics and the arts. They have three children and are active in the Lancaster community.
